01Is KidneyMate available now?+
Not yet. A working prototype exists and is being developed toward a first release and governed pilot programs. The waitlist is how you hear when early access opens.
02Does KidneyMate give medical advice?+
No. It is designed to organise records, show explainable patterns and support conversations. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe or replace your healthcare team.
03Is KidneyMate clinically validated?+
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. The conceptual framework is grounded in published literature and is currently under peer review. Formal clinical validation research is planned.
04Who can see my information?+
The intended design puts the person living with CKD in control. Sharing with a care team is opt-in, specific, visible and reversible.
05Will health data be sold or used for advertising?+
No. Never. There is no version of KidneyMate’s intended business model where health information is sold or advertised against.
06What happens in an emergency?+
KidneyMate is not an emergency tool. If you or someone else is in immediate danger in Australia, call Triple Zero (000). For urgent health advice, contact your care team or healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
07What if I am on dialysis?+
KidneyMate is being designed for dialysis life, including session context, fluid limits between sessions and simple symptom tracking. These capabilities are still in development.
08How do pilots work?+
A conversation comes first, then scoping, formal governance, a small supported cohort and co-designed evaluation. Registering interest does not create a commitment.
09Can carers use it too?+
Patient-controlled carer access is planned as a first-class feature. The person living with CKD chooses whether a carer can help and what they can see.
10Will KidneyMate cost anything?+
We intend to keep core self-management support accessible. Final pricing has not been announced.
